Our 2008 Christmas card

christmascardbutton2150

check out Faith's Christmas Card Carousel to see more Christmas cards.

does the picture look familiar? ;)PKC Christmas card 2008

This is the first year I did a photo card. I usually buy cards and include a Christmas picture of CJ. With not putting our Christmas tree up until after Dec. 10, it made it kind of hard to get a picture or two of CJ in front of the tree, get them ordered and out in the mail and still have them make it to their destination in time for Christmas.
So, this year I opted for a picture that was taken at my Birthday dinner in Oct.
It was quick and easy and I am so happy with them.

I would love to see your Christmas cards. ;) (hint hint)  lol

Fabulous

Do you think I am fabulous?  (ha ha ha) Well my dear bloggy friend Stacey @ McCrakensx4 does. She even gave me an award telling me so.  YaY!

Isn't it nice to be told we are fabulous? I think so. Thank you so much Stacey. If you've never stopped by Stacey's blog, please do so. She is an amazing woman and friend. She has a great family that includes her hubby and two sons. (one of which shares a name with my little guy) (great minds, huh?)

Well here it is my award for being F.A.B.U.L.O.U.S.

Fabulous_blog_award

The "rules" that accompany this award are to list five addictions I have and then to pass the award along to five fabulous blogs.

My 5 addictions...

1. Jesus
2. my family
3. blogging (this is a new addiction)  ;)
4. pictures (taking them, receiving them, etc)
5. traveling

5 blogs I pass this FABULOUS award along to...
come on, there is NO way I can choose just five of you. I think you are all FABULOUS!!! Besides to be honest, I have NO clue who has this award and who does not. (I did not do my homework, sorry) I also do not know who likes to play a long with these awards and who does not.
So if you read my blog you are awarded this FABULOUS award, bc to me you are FABULOUS if for no other reason than coming back day after day and catching up with life in my home. And for letting me get a peek into your lives.
(I hope I did not break the "rules")

getting things accomplished

Over the weekend I was able to get my bed taken down and re-painted. (the paint color I chose will be revealed in a later post, sorry ;) ) Today, hubby is home early enough that he is installing the new carpet in our bedroom. (woo~hoo) I can not wait for this.  The carpet has needed replaced in that room since it was installed. (honestly) Hubby painted our office this weekend too. It was the last room in the house to be painted. It had more layers of wallpaper in there then I cared to count. (no kidding) The previous owners painted over the top layer of wallpaper to avoid the task of taking it down. (what a job that was)
I feel like we have gotten so much done around here in the past couple of weeks. We still have a few more things to do, but nothing too major. A vanity light in our upstairs bathroom, a new stove (our Christmas gift) and fan for the kitchen as well as a new light for over the sink. And finished up our quarter round/trim.
I can not wait!!!
We have been thinking of putting our house up for sale for some time now, but with the economy and the real estate market not being to great right now, we were not sure. After praying about it, we feel it is what we should do. If the timing is right, the house will sell. We are in no hurry to sell, so we can take our time and wait for the perfect buyer.
This feels like a huge wait has been lifted. I have always wanted to live in the country and hubby has always wanted to build his own home. So we will start looking for a piece of land sometime in the spring.
I hope everyone is having a great day. I better get back to working around here.
