Well just like a lot of other people we have gotten all kinds of snow and ice. P has not worked in two days now and we are just hanging out at home staying warm. (or at least trying to)

I had an interview with...

Stacey from McCrakensx4 .
Here is what she asked and my responses...

1.  What have you gained since starting your blog?
Oh my...I have met some AMAZING women since starting this journey.  I am reminded everyday just how important sisters are and how we pull together when they need us. Even if we have never "met" them. I see each day the miracles that the Lord works in each of our lives and I am so thankful to have this thing we call a blog to share with all of you while you share with me too.

2.  How many TVs do you have in your house and what is your favorite TV show?
4 tvs (yikes) 1 has just a dvd player hooked up to it and another 1 is hooked up for C's games.
None of them have cable.
My fave show...not sure really...I like so many...
Jon & Kate +8                    Brothers & Sisters             Rita Rocks
Samantha Who                   Desp. Housewives             Gary Unmarried
Worst Week                       Private Practice
Property Virgins                Grey's Anatomy

See why I need to have my tv SHUT OFF???  ;)

3. If you could go anywhere in the world, where would it be?
please don't laugh...but Alaska. I have always had a weird obsession with Alaska.

4.  What's under your bed?
extra blankets and my exerciser

5.  If you had one day to do anything you wanted, with no limits, what would it be and why?
I am sure this would change depending on the day and my mood, but my answer this day is...get all my bestest girls together and go shopping around the world, by plane of course.  (shopping, eating, laughing, worshiping, sharing, etc)
I would do this bc I think it is important to set aside time to just get together with the girls and forget everything else. It makes us better wives, Mothers, and friends. And who would not want to go on a shopping spree all over the east coast? (or west coast?) :)

Would you like to be interviewed? If so, just let me know in the comments and I will send you your questions.  :)

I hope you enjoyed getting to know me a little better. Wanna know more??? ... stay tuned bc Lisa from MY JOURNEY THROUGH INFERTILITY tagged me and I will be posting 16 things you may not know about me soon.  :)

CJ's day out

This morning we met our playgroup at the children's museum called, Aha. (a hands on adventure) It is a lot of fun for the little ones. And always nice to catch up with the other Mom's.

Below are some pictures from our morning.

I am so bummed out that I did not get a picture of the opposite of the area, where they have a stage with working lights, curtains and microphones for the kids. And a closet full of dress up. They also have over there a pretend bank, grocery, vet, pizza shop(shown), book area, plop zone for younger babies.
It really is a lot of fun for the little ones. And very interactive.
Now I am ready  for a NAP!!!  (ha ha ha)

a few random pictures

Just a few random pictures from the past week or so, because today I have done absolutely NOTHING. I have sat on the couch most of the day today watching Christmas movies on Lifetime and The Hallmark Channel.   (lol)
It has been a relaxing day to say the least.
ENJOY...
1[1]
this picture was taken last friday in our home. These are CJ's cousins on his Daddy's side of the family. (PJ's sisters' kids) The are (L to R) 5, 3, 3mo., 2 and CJ, 3) This is part of my MIL's Christmas gift.

this is CJ in his playroom. (guess he did not want his picture taken) He thought he was a toy, I suppose, dumping all those cars out to climb in the bin.  (too funny)

Collin misc dec 08 004
this is how he positioned himself to take a nap yesterday afternoon. He played with that laundry basket ALL day.
Collin misc dec 08 003 he likes this hat, but it does not fit his head. (it came with a Christmas frog, years ago. Still he runs around the house with this sitting on his head all the time. Of course I usually find it lying around, where it has fallen off.

tonight he came running into the kitchen laughing, just like this (minus the Santa hat) So I of course asked him to "pose" in front of the tree for a pic. He LOVES his potato head pieces. He is my human potato head.

Well that is it for now. Enjoy the rest of the weekend. Is everyone done Christmas shopping and wrapping?

Turkey Pumpkin? or Pumpkin Turkey?

CJ and I did a Thanksgiving "project". I have had these miniature pumpkins laying around since early October and finally decided to put them to some use. So we made turkeys out of them.

CJ had a good time. He finally got to use his kid scissors. Anything we would have done would have been ok with him as long as he could use those scissors.

On each of the "feathers" we (I) wrote "CJ is thankful for..." and then in crayon wrote something he told me his was thankful for. There are four feathers on our Turkey's because this year marks CJ's 4th Thanksgiving. It will also be the first Thanksgiving that we will actually be celebrating with family and on the actual day reserved.

Here are some pictures of our work.

is it obvious that he does not get to use his scissors often? he wanted to "pose" with them.  ha ha ha

I am looking for more projects to do with CJ. He is 3 1/2 yrs. If you have any fun easy ideas for the holidays I would love to hear them. THANKS!!!

Have you heard this version?

Collin garbage truck and singing 001

CJ loves to sing. He always wants me to sing to him and I have a hard time remembering words to a lot of songs, just off the top of my head, so I stick to a few basic songs. Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, You are My Sunshine and Skinny ma-rink. ( I have to say, I have NO clue how you spell that, sorry)

Lately I have heard CJ going through the house singing...here is his version of what I sing to him...

Twinkle little star,
how much I love you
So please take my sunshine
Sunshine a way.

Is that not hilarious?

I guess he has not figured out a way to incorporate Skinny Ma-rink into his version of the other two songs. So after he is done singing his song, he will ask me to sing him the "dinky dinky song".
I LOVE this age.

we created monsters

CJ and I are playing while waiting on Daddy to come home for the evening. (it is a late one for him) (wah)
Here is one of the activities we did to pass the time.

Aren't these the neatest stickers ever? Similar to potato heads, which is favorite toy in our family. Don't you also love his "cheesin it up" smile? (with eyes closed)

He got these new jammies today and I would like to have a pair for myself. They are so soft and warm.
