Sorry. We had unexpected company and it got too late to get it done.  :(
CJ is going to draw the name and he is asleep.

The bed color is...

black...

I am not completely convinced that it looks better than the chocolate brown would have, but I am satisfied...for now.  ;)

Here is the opposite view of our bedroom along with the dresser that I want to paint black (or chocolate brown, IF I decide to change the bed color in the spring) so that the two of them match.  ;)
Also the stand on the right side of the bed (as you are looking at the bed) my Mom is giving me a table cloth for it.

I just want to note that we only bought one piece of furniture for this room. My style is country, but also eclectic, which I think also describes country.
Our bed was free from a complete stranger. (the mattress and box spring were a gift from my Mom when I moved out)
my side table, which you can not see very well used to belong to my parents.
PJ's side table is what we bought. There is a painting of the Horseshoe (Ohio Stadium) on the top and the Ohio State logo on the bottom shelf.
The small dresser in the first picture was my dresser when I was a child and was in the family prior to that.
The cedar chest at the end of the bed belong to my parents.
The dresser with the pictures on it was my Dad's and also in our family for a long time before it was his.
The tan colored dresser belonged to my aunt when she was a young girl and she gave it to us when we bought our house.

Goodbye 2008, Hello 2009

A look back at 2008..

January...we rang in 2008 watching a movie and making potato heads with CJ.
 
February...CJ got his first "big boy" haircut.
Ok, so this really took place the end of Dec. (after Christmas), but I had nothing or Feb)  ;)


March...the "blizzard" of '08

April...CJ turned 3!!! (where did my Baby go?)
 
May...CJ moved from his crib to his "big boy" toddler fire truck bed.
He still asks for his crib from time to time. 

June...our first trip to the children's museum

July...We celebrated our anniv.

August...CJ spent his first night away from us...@ my Mom's house with his cousin.

September...CJ was a ring bearer in my step sister's wedding.
First wedding he was in.

October...I turned 30!!!

November...We spent Thanksgiving in Indiana with family.

December...We celebrated a Happy, Healthy, Blessed, Merry Christmas with family.
 

We are looking forward to what 2009 has in store for us and becoming even closer in relationship with each other and the Lord.

My prayer for the new year is that it be the best year yet for everyone. That we all get to know Jesus on a more intimate level, than we have in the past year(s), and cast all of our cares, worries, & wonders to Him, while giving Him ALL the Glory.
